CBS Sports reports New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski broke Saints TE Jimmy Graham’s short-lived single-season tight end receiving yards record by the end of their respective games. Graham on losing the record: “I guess records are meant to be broken, but mine got broken pretty quickly. … That might be a record.”

CBS Sports reports Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew not only clinched his first NFL rushing title Sunday, he set a franchise record for single-season rushing yards. He rushed for a season-high 169 yards Sunday and finished the season with 1,606 yards.

CBS Sports reports with his 13-yard TD reception in the second quarter Sunday against the Packers, Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson set the Lions’ single-season record for TD catches. His 16th score of the season broke WR E. Cloyce Box’s mark of 15 in 1952. Johnson also caught a TD pass against the Packers on Thanksgiving.

CBS Sports reports New England Patriots WR Wes Welker caught his 120th pass of the season today. He joins WR Cris Carter as the only players with two 120-catch seasons in their careers.

CBS Sports reports New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham passed Hall of Fame TE Kellen Winslow for the NFL single-season receiving yards record on his 5-yard reception midway through the third quarter. It gave Graham 1,292 receiving yards. Winslow had 1,290 yards in 1980. But Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is on Graham’s heels Sunday afternoon as well.

CBS Sports reports with Green Bay Packers starter QB Aaron Rodgers inactive for Sunday’s game against the Lions, backup QB Matt Flynn will make his second career start. The highly touted fourth-year, who’s a free agent after the season, reiterated this week that he wants to be an NFL starter somewhere, meaning Sunday will be something of a league-wide audition.

Sunday night’s Giants-Cowboys game is a “win and in” scenario for the Giants, but one report claims it’s not a “win or else” scenario for Tom Coughlin.
