Kyle Orton is out of the game for Denver at Washington with an ankle injury.



Chris Simms is now leading Denver. Orton was playing well before he was injured. He completed 11 of 18 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns. Orton was not intercepted in the first half.



Orton was coming off his two worst performances as a Bronco, both Denver losses. This is Simms’ first action of the season.
